Bring the Dog Files to the Midwest!
Greetings Rescuers! I am still so excited about the new web show, The Dog Files . Co-producer Courtney Camera and I have been talking regularly about the show potentially filming here in the Midwest sometime in November. Courtney and creator Kenn Bell (also the creator/writer of "Magic: the Gathering - Legends") currently fund there New York based program out of their own pockets, limiting their filming area. The Dog Files would love to come to our area, to film families like mine that have adopted rescued dogs, people like the Yori's who have worked to dispel myths about American Pit Bull Terriers, and the shelters in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids that have been destroyed by massive flooding. We have also discussed the Dog Files profiling the many rescues in the Sioux Falls area. The Dog Files will also be providing copies of the footage filmed to participating subjects. What a great way for rescues in need to gain some publicity material! To begin raising the funds needed for travel and lodging they have started a fundable page. Originally created only 5 days ago, they have already nearly met their starting goal of $516. But realistically they will need to raise nearly $2000 for travel, lodging and incidentals (like dog biscuits!)
