Microchipping for pet identification
Microchipping is a safe, effective, permanent marking system. A tiny chip, the size of a rice grain, is injected under the skin in the back of your dog or cat's neck. The chip is coded with a specific number. If found Animal Control can scan your pet, if they are chipped it sends back an id number and the name of the manufacture. A simple phone call to the company tells the finder who the pet is registered to and how to contact them. |
